![]() PTLens is a somewhat crude device whose "lens calibration" is usually based on a single user-submitted shot of a brick wall or similar. PTLens is often quoted as a valid "alternative" to DxO, but I don't see it that way. I pretty sure Capture One doesn't have lens-specific corrections like DxO - it might have a "manual" distortion filter similar to the PS Lens filter. ![]() it is not a converter/catalog application (like Lightroom or Aperture, for example). The downside to DxO is a slightly clunky interface and the fact that it is ONLY a raw/jpg converter, i.e. Since every UWA zoom produces curvature distortion which must be corrected in order to achieve a quality result, I see DxO as a "no-brainer" choice. Capture One might (arguably) produce "better" RAW conversions, but you're into pixel-peeping territory before any meaningful differences might show up. ![]() IMO it's the best, most logical solution for RE work. Does Capture one pro have lens correction like dxo? Does anyone have both of these or experience with either? I have the trial of dxo right now but Ive heard some people say capture one is better. ![]()
